The Blessed Blend was a term coined by the Scottish in the early 19th century. When the first immigrants into the Appalachain Mountains arrived two ancient cultures met. The Scot/Irish and the Indigenous People of Turtle Island. Sharing many cultural similarities it was a natural match. Anytime a Celt married a Native or when there were children born of those marriages they were called a Blessed Blend. Not a mutt, Heinz 57 or any other degrading word. If you carry these two bloodlines you are a Blessed Blend.
